Here's what we've been working on.....
 

Throughout the school day, students in our room have several opportunities to read books which interest them.  Often, students
will enjoy a book so much, they will choose to read it over and over again, until they can read it to the class with expression.  Here is one of our friends sharing a favorite book.

We are very fortunate to have three computers in our room.  This is a favorite free time activity!

 
In November, we studied the four food groups.  Students enjoyed  sorting the "play" food into nutritional categories,
and playing restaurant!  As you can see, we have some pretty big appetites! :-)

Everyone in our classroom has something to add.  Here, one of our friends is sharing  her method for solving a story problem in math.  As you can see, others are interested in her method as well.

Reading is a favorite activity in our room.  To help kids feel more comfortable, they are allowed to bring slippers to school.  This allows them to cuddle up with a good book.
