Oomycota

 By: Molly B.

Oomycota are protistlike fungi. Common examples include water molds, mildews, and the potato blight fungus. These fungi have cell walls made of cellulose that absorb food through water (Oomycota are primarily aquatic). In order to reproduce, oomycota produce motile spores that swim through the water and raindrops to new sources of food.
