Members of the
Kingdom Plantae are multicellular, have cell walls that contain
cellulose. They are also autotrophic, which means they make their own
food. They make their food through a system called photosynthesis.
During photosynthesis they use chlorophyll to make their food. The
plant kingdom consists of every day plants that you know, including
ferns, mosses and flowering plants. Also in the classification
system, the plant kingdom also includes multicellular algae. This
page includes some overall information on the Plantae Kingdom and
some pictures for examples. Also, it includes the 5 Phylums and the 5
Subphylums.
