Dialogue From A Story
By Josh E.
They were standing in the water. Then Tom put his hands in the water softly. Tom pulled out a big rainbow trout. He threw it on the bank. Then Jake did the same thing. Jake pulled out a bigger trout. They did this almost all day. They skipped lunch.
At dinnertime, they cooked up all the fish. There were twelve trout. As they were eating, Tom asked, "Did you have fun today?"
"Yes."
" Who taught you that?"
"My Dad."
" I wish I had a Dad like yours."
" Who is your Dad?"
"He left when I was eight."
"Was he nice?"
"I don’t want to talk about him anymore."
"Come on."
"I don’t want to."
"Okay."
